Can children play a lot, have fun...and still get smart?
Happy children who are having fun are eager learners who absorb their lessons quickly and easily, and nearly every skill or concept taught by a worksheet or textbook in school gets its start in traditional "play" of children. There's no need to rush children into a school-like environment from a young age. In fact, pushing children into the academic environment too soon can spoil their enthusiasm for learning in general, and make school seem a burden and chore, rather than the next exciting step as they grow up into the "big kid" they want to be. Relax a bit, and play with them, so you can be reminded of children's fresh sense of wonder in the world. Enjoy life's journey together.
